I just released update 3.1.0 for Companion Sitemap Generator for WordPress and it brings a few features that people have been asking for.
The changelog may not be extreme, but it’s still a neat update. The best feature (imo) that this update brings is the ability to exlude posttypes from the sitemap rather than just allowing for certain posts to be excluded. This feature was requested by many and was something I honestly wouldn’t have thought of on my own.
Now you also asked for an easier way to add the HTML sitemap to a page, so this update brings a button to the texteditor that allows you to instantly add the sitemap to your page of post.
If you want to know what else is new, here’s the full changelog.
- New: Exclude post types.
- New: Added classes to the HTML sitemap list to allow styling.
- New: Added button to quicker insert HTML sitemap into a page.
- Fix: Empty post types are no longer shown in HTML sitemap.

This update was an feedback-driven update that wouldn’t have happend without your feedback, so a big thank you to all of you!
